This collection is near and dear to my heart. I have partnered with Piece & Co. to design a line of products that intertwine beach fashion and global impact. A partnership that is by women for women, featuring sustainable and organic materials. The beach suit and farmer’s tote are made from 100% organic cotton, hand-crocheted by female artisans in Kenya and the beach towel is loomed out of 100% organic cotton by artisans in India. 

Female artisans around the world are the backbones of their communities, responsible for raising children and providing for families. The artisans that crocheted the beach suit and tote are based in Nakuru, Kenya. In this region of Kenya, 1.5 million children have been left orphaned due to the devastation of the AIDS epidemic. Many of the women in the artisan collective were widowed by the AIDS epidenimic and are the sole source of income for their families. With the intent of supporting their community at heart, the cooperative gives back a percentage of the revenue from every order to an orphanage that provides a haven for 25 children who would otherwise live alone in the streets. 

Through this limited edition collaboration, 20 female artisans have consistent employment for two months.
